US Open at Congressional

Posted by Golf Lesson Search Admin

The much anticipated start of the 2011 US Open started today at Congressional Country Club in Maryland, there has been much talk about Tiger Woods being injured, Steve Williams caddying for Adam Scott and the World's number 1 & 2 not winning a major and sitting at the top of the world rankings!! But with a little patience and taking the bogies when they come along, the time is now right for Luke Donald or Lee Westwood to reach the pinnacle of their game to take on the monster of Congressional!

The USGA have made the comment that all US Open courses are always prepared to be rigorous but fair, so the key this week is keep it on the fairway, take the bogies, enjoy the pars, get excited with birdies or eagles and above all be very very patient.

The early leader board is showing G MAC at one under and Johan Edfors on 2 under, however there is a long way to go until Sunday afternoon at 5pm local time (23.00hrs GMT), good luck to all the field and may the cream rise to the top!!
