Mark Allen

Mark Allen has been playing golf for over 25 years, having started at the age of 3. As an amateur he played at club and county level and highlights included winning the Nottinghamshire County Stroke play and Match play Championships in 2000 and 2001 and being crowned Sheffield amateur Stroke play Champion in 2001.

He has held course records at Hallowes Golf Club and High Leigh Golf Club and the lowest handicap he achieved whilst an amateur was +2.

After having turned professional in 2003 he played on the Sunshine Tour, PGA Europro Tour, Challenge Tour and various mini tours with four professional tournament wins.

Mark is a fully qualified PGA Professional and an ASQ qualified coach. Although Mark continues to play in PGA North Region events (finishing 2nd on the Assistants Order of Merit in 09).  During his PGA qualification Mark gained a distinction as part of his coaching module. Since qualifyling Mark has attended courses such as "Long Term Athlete Development of Junior Golfers" and "Preparing Your Players To Compete", whilst also taking time to read endless amounts of golf swing related books.

Mark is also a qualified practitioner of the mental game and holds a PGA certificate in Golf Psychology Coaching.

Throughout Mark's amateur career and much of his professional career he has been coached by Peter Cowen and has carried much of Pete's techniques into his own coaching. 

Mark recently left Hillsborough Golf Club in Sheffield to take over the Nevada Bob's Golf Store in Wilmslow, Manchester.  He is able to teach in store but is currently concentrating on the retail and custom fit side of the business.

One On One Lessons Offered
30 Minute Lesson @ £12.50
A one on one 30 minute lesson. Normal summer rate is £17.50.
Junior one on one @ £10.00
One on one tuition for junior golfers. Normal summer rate is £12.50.
Course of 6 incl 1 on Course @ £90.00
This course of lessons is designed to work on your game with 5 of the lessons on the range or chipping green. The playing lesson can then be to work on your course management or it could be used at the beginning of the lessons to help me analyse your game and highlight where improvements are necessary. Normal summer price £120.00.
Course of 6 Lessons @ £62.50
This package can be used in anyway you wish. You may decide to use all the lessons on your full swing. However using the lessons to cover all areas of your game may suit you better. Using the lessons as a way to check your game throughout the season may be the best option for you. If you wish I can suggest the best approach after our first lesson.
Playing Lesson @ £35.00
This lesson allows me to see where you may be needing help on the golf course. It may be your course management or maybe even your mental approach. Normal summer rate is £50.
All Day Coaching @ £150.00
This special lesson is for a minimum of 3 people at £50 per person. Spend all day with Mark Allen PGA professional. The day starts with a look at your full swing using GASP video teaching system, after a short break the day moves on to the short game area to work on sharpening up your skills around the green. After lunch in the clubhouse it's on to the course for a round at Hillsborough Golf Club with Mark. This is your chance to ask Mark questions, watch his game and put into practice the skills learnt during the morning.

Course of 3 Lessons @ £35.00
This package is designed to give you a continuation of lessons on any area of your game.
Full Round @ £100.00
This allows me to watch how you approach a round of golf. Do you start well and get tired towards the end? Is that due to poor nutrition or are you wasting mental energy during your round. All this can be found out and worked on during this lesson.
One Hour Lesson @ £22.50
This lesson can be used to cover all areas of your game or to work with training aids and video feedback on one area of your game. Normal summer price is £30.00.
Mind Coaching @ £40.00
This lesson will work on various aspects of your mental game. I will ask you questions regarding your golfing past and how the mental game can help you improve in the future.
Using techniques that have worked for both the best golfers in the world and the average amateur golfer with fantastic results, this could be the area to transform your golf.
